Eva Longoria gives Jessica Simpson advice
Don't let boos from fans of boyfriend bother you, says star who's been there
Desperate girlfriends? Eva Longoria of "Desperate Housewives" has some advice for fellow Texan Jessica Simpson. Both have lost their hearts to "No. 9" Texas Tonys, People.com points out. And both have been called a jinx for their pro athlete beaus.
"When I first started dating Tony, I got the same flak," Longoria told People about now-husband Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs. "If he had a bad game, it was my fault ... if he had a good game, it wasn't because of me."
Simpson caught the same flak over her Dallas Cowboys hottie.
"Believe me, they are not thinking of us when they are on the field, particularly Tony Romo, who has 10 linemen coming at him," Longoria said.
Her advice: "You have to weather that for a while, and once people get over it, they kind of get used to you."
But apparently Simpson wasn't weathering it on Sunday -- and she wasn't a jinx. She stayed out of the stands for the Cowboys' big playoff game, and they still lost to the New York Giants, 21-17.

What others are saying ...
"The thing that amuses me is because, at the moment, he's dating a celebrity, people want to say that he's less of an athlete. But I don't know a whole lot of athletes that have a record like Tony's." -- Actress Sophia Bush, alleged ex-Romo romance
"Heck, if Jessica Simpson wanted to date me, I may give her a shot." -- Recently divorced Michael Strahan, New York Giants defensive end
